Doctoral Committee

For Ph.D. research projects, the Dean constitutes a doctoral committee. The doctoral committee meets frequently to critically assess the candidates grasp on the subject of his/her study and his/her ability for independent work. The candidates’ continuance as Ph.D. student depends upon the recommendation of the committee. In the event of an unfavourable recommendation, the candidature is terminated.

Dean's Doctoral Committee: A Dean’s doctoral Committee assists the dean in the matters concerning the candidates pursuing studies for Ph.D. degree of the Institute. This committee reviews the Ph.D. programme in various departments of the Institute and assists the Dean in resolving any problems as they may arise in the implementation of the rules and regulations governing the Ph.D. degree of the Institute.
