Department Introduction The foundation was established with the sanction of the Advanced Paediatric Centre project in 1985 as multispeciality 300 beds hospital for children with all facilities under one roof at a cost of about Rs.50 crores. It was inaugurated by Dr.Shanker Dyal sharma President of India on May 22,1997. There are several specialties for the care of children such as Allergy Immunology, Haematology and Oncology, Pediatric Neurology, Pulmonology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Genetics & Metabolism. More than 1000 children receive intensive care including 60 children who are provided artificial ventilation every year. There is a separate 24 hrs emergency service for children.
