Department Introduction

Welcome to the Department of Anatomy web site.  The faculty, staff and students of the department have made valuable contribution to make it an exciting teaching and research place.

Birth of the Department 

The department of Anatomy was started on 30th November, 1968.

The department has the following sub sections: 

1.    Museum

2.    Dissection hall

3.    Histology lab

4.    Microscopy room

5.    Facial Reconstruction lab

6.    Lecture Theatre

7.    Seminar Room and Departmental library along with internet facility

The department is imparting teaching to undergraduate courses B.Sc. Medical Technology i.e. Radiology, Radiotherapy, Physiotherapy, Operation Theatre and also to B.Sc. Nursing. Every third year a refresher course on Neuro-Anatomy for the residents of psychiatry and also to the D.M. residents of Neurology. Teaching of Gross Anatomy demonstration to the resident of General Surgery.
