Department of general surgery is organizing 5th certified course in Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic surgery under the Indian chapter of Indian chapter of IHPBA from 6th to 11th August, 2012. The main objective of this course is to prepare young postgraduates to be an expert HPB surgeon, who interacts with multidisclipinary team to provide comprehensive care for HPB patients as well as leadership in leadership in surgical, medical and lay communities in matter pertaining to HPB diseases.

Experience and technical skill in performing complex HPB operations including the knowledge of new techniques will be discussed in detail. Broad knowledge of nonsurgical treatment options including endoscopic, interventional, radiological and medical therapies will be discussed. Renowned faculties from all over the country and also from abroad will be interacting with the deligates. The technical and other related aspects of liver transplantation will be discussed by the eminent surgeons from abroad. It will be of great help to brush up the knowledge of residents and surgeons all across the country.
