The PGIMER under the aegis of
ICMR has established Advanced Centre for Evidence Based Child Health in Advanced
Pediatric Centre with Prof. Meenu Singh being the principal investigator.
The centre initiated the short
course on HOW TO PRACTISE EVIDENCE BASED CHILD HEALTH on 28th
July, 2012 at 5.00 P.M. Participants from different departments of the
institute as well as from GMCH, Sector-32, Chandigarh and MAMC, New Delhi has
registered for the course. The course will train the participants in critical
appraisal of various clinical trials and also introduce them with evidence based
child health. Participants will also be provided hands-on experience of using
various medical databases subscribed in the institute library. The efforts of
the principal investigator and its team were highly appreciated as it is
considered to be one of the prestigious projects of the institute. Former H.O.D.
pediatrics Prof Lata Kumar initiated the participants & distributed the course
material.
ICMR advanced centre for
evidence based child health will be conducting courses on evidence based child
health and also systematic reviews in this field to guide policy and research in
child health. This is the first centre of its kind in the whole country.
