ACTIVITY REPORT
Cultural
and Social Activities:
Under the aegis of Institute Cultural Committee, the residents, students and the employees
of the Institute hold a number of cultural, literary and social activities every year.
Such activities help to promote a common sense of brotherhood among the various segments
of students and staff of the Institute besides providing the much needed diversion from
busy academic and service routine.
Every
year one week long cultural bonanza SPRING FEST is held in which various items relating to
fine arts, dance, drama, music and literary activities like debate, quiz, essay writing
etc. are organised. These events are held after the working hours during the evenings and
draw enthusiastic participation. There is also a tradition to celebrate important
festivals like Diwali etc. as well as the fresh students and residents joining the
Institute are welcomed by holding a fresher's day. Residents and other students bring out
the annual magazine, which provide them an opportunity to demonstrate their literary ideas
and writing skills. The highpoint of various social events is the annual day of the
residents wherein the Faculty is also invited.
Institute Cultural
Committee organises a special cultural programme woven around the theme highlighting the
importance of the event.
